Abstract
Rosacea is a chronic dermatosis that requires individualization of the treatment process.
It is characterized by episodic and unpredictable recurrences. In treatment, the best results
are obtained by using combination therapies, involving different metods and complementing each other. It is also extremely important to take proper care of the skin and educate the patient to avoid factors that provoke the occurrence of lesions.
Part I of the latest recommendations for the proper management of rosacea, developed by
the Polish Society of Dermatology (PTD), was published in 2022, in which the authors discuss the causes of the disease, classification and clinics. There is overlap between the guidelines developed by the PTD and the American Academy of Dermatology and ROSCO. The general principles of rosacea management remain unchanged, although at the same time new drugs and skin care preparations are entering the market over time.
