Effects of electromagnetic fields on the human body

Abstract

This article presents the issue of the effects on living organisms of electromagnetic fields (field-EM) and electromagnetic radiation (radiation-EM) from the radio wave and microwave ranges. It characterises natural and artificial sources of EM fields, the mechanisms of field effects on the human body and the biological effects of these effects. In addition to the potential hazards of the-EM fields, their use in magnetotherapy and electrotherapy is presented.
