Abstract

In the healing process, a scar is always formed at the site of a wound or ulcer, which is an aesthetic and functional problem. There are currently no methods available to completely remove the scar.
The author of the article, based on the literature and own experience, discusses combined methods used in the treatment of scars, based on autogenous products.
The idea of combining treatments with different mechanisms of action is not new, combinations of laser therapy with injections of platelet-rich plasma or the application of 5-fluorouracil are used.
The use of autogenous products is primarily intended to accelerate tissue regeneration. The author presents examples of combining laser therapy with the administration of platelet-rich plasma and the support-vascular fraction and filling the scar with autologous fat .
The use of combined methods significantly increases the effectiveness of scar treatment and improves the functionality of the surrounding tissues.
