Streszczenie
W ostatnich dekadach obserwuje się gwałtowny wzrost popularności tatuaży. Szacuje się, że w krajach europejskich i Ameryce Północnej nawet 30% populacji młodych dorosłych ma wykonany tatuaż. Zarazem coraz częściej w praktyce dermatologicznej obserwowane są ostre i przewlekłe powikłania tatuażu. Niektóre z nich mogą mieć poważny przebieg. Na podstawie opisu trzech przypadków autorki omawiają najczęstsze (infekcyjne) powikłania tatuowania oraz komplikacje o poważnych zdrowotnych konsekwencjach: alergie na tusz o danym kolorze i reakcje guzkowe w czarnym tatuażu, mogące być wskaźnikiem choroby układowej.

Abstract
In recent decades, there has been a significant increase in the popularity of tattoos. It is estimated that in European countries and North America, up to 30% of the young adult population has a tattoo. Acute and chronic complications of tattoos are observed in dermatological practice more often; some of them may be serious. Based on description of 3 cases, authors discuss the most common infectious complications of tattooing as well as complications with serious health consequences: allergies to a specific ink color and nodular reactions in a black tattoos, which may indicate systemic disease.
