Streszczenie
W artykule przedstawiono kwestię wpływu na organizmy żywe pól elekromagnetycznych (pól-EM) i promieniowania elektromagnetycznego (promieniowania-EM) z zakresu fal radiowych i mikrofal. Scharakteryzowano naturalne i sztuczne źródła pól-EM, mechanizmy oddziaływania pól na ludzki organizm oraz biologiczne skutki tych oddziaływań. Obok potencjalnych zagrożeń pól-EM przedstawiono wykorzystanie ich w magnetoterapii i elektroterapii.

Abstract
This article presents the issue of the effects on living organisms of electromagnetic fields (field-EM) and electromagnetic radiation (radiation-EM) from the radio wave and microwave ranges. It characterises natural and artificial sources of EM fields, the mechanisms of field effects on the human body and the biological effects of these effects. In addition to the potential hazards of the-EM fields, their use in magnetotherapy and electrotherapy is presented.
