Abstract
Most of the negative phenomena associated with excess body fat and the aging process are especially noticeable on the neck and lower face. A separate problem is the factors causing disruption of the jaw line and the shape of the chin, related to the anatomical structure – plastic surgery procedures are needed to correct them.
Changes in the appearance of the chin, face oval and neck lines are associated with changes in the middle part of the face and may result from a loss of volume in this area.
Correction of the oval and chin lines concerns various anatomical layers: the skin, subcutaneous fat tissue and the broad neck muscle. The lifting treatments should be performed on skin that has previously been properly revitalized. The effectiveness of treatment depends on the proper pre-operative analysis, careful selection of patients and proper planning of all procedures, taking into account their sequence, mutual relations, recovery period and possible adverse effects. Good aesthetic results can be achieved through comprehensive treatment and combining various therapeutic methods (skin revitalization, liposuction, insertion of threads under the skin).
